First, thank you for considering one of our rescues for being your pet.

Our rescues come to us from owner abandonment, high kill shelters, strays, and owner surrender.All of our animals receive urgent veterinary care along with routine vaccinations, deworming, heartworm preventative, appropriate testing, and are spayed / neutered. Further, all animals receive a microchip upon adoption that is registered with American Kennel Club, so that your animal can be returned to you if lost nationwide.

We want good homes for our rescues and want to be their champion in finding a loving and safe home. We know you will enjoy adopting one of our pets and feel comfortable through the adoption process.

Our Process
Recycled Pets does not do same-day adoptions, but our process is easy and quick.

1. To submit an application - download our application and email. We really want to match the animal with the owner for a forever home experience for both.
2. A volunteer will review the application, and will contact you either by phone or e-mail with questions. Applicants will be scheduled an appointment to meet the the dog(s) or cat(s) of their choice during normal adoption center hours. If we feel you are not a good fit based on size of dog for apartment or lack of a fence, we'll contact you immediately.
3. Adoption fees cover the spay/neuter, rabies and shots and you will find that our fee is considerably less expensive than going to the vet yourself. Our vets support rescue and provide reduced rates for their services.
4. Adoptions fee must be in cash and an adoption contract signed. This is a binding legal document that provides for returning the pet if no longer wanted or quick reclaim if there is abuse, animal found roaming free, or neglect.
Occassionally there will be a follow up inquiry as to how the adopted pet is doing and hopefully you would like to share your success story with us to post on the web.
